In The Community

Over the past century our company has remained true to the high ethical standards of its heritage -- trust from peers, integrity to our customers, honesty and fairness to our employees and betterment of our communities. The strength of our communities largely impacts Nsight's success, which is why we're committed to giving back to the neighborhoods we serve. That's why we've taken our corporate vision and firm commitment to customer service and applied this same philosophy to corporate giving.

Each year Nsight touches thousands of lives through in-kind and monetary donations to a wide variety of nonprofit agencies and local organizations. In 2010 we gave back to almost 400 different organizations, donated more than 1,200 PR phones and service valued at $226,385 and, despite the sluggish economy, Nsight proudly increased its community giving by over eight percent.

Nsight is committed to growing our business in a thoughtful, forward-thinking and, above all, caring way. We are honored and blessed to have the opportunity to provide another century of service to the people of Northeast and Central Wisconsin and our service area in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

Children and Education

The wellbeing of our community and the economy depends on education and continued learning. As a technology-based company, we are a committed advocate for getting the latest technological advances into classrooms and enhancing education and learning for all students. Nsight believes that providing these tools will inspire innovation and increase academic achievement.

Nsight continually looks for ways to expand the use of wireless technology in the classroom. Cellcom was extremely proud to introduce Project Innovate in 2010. This community voting program brought $50,000 of technology into local schools in 2010. In Green Bay West High School's Marketing Co-op class, the instructor developed a curriculum that incorporated smart phones and students used donated phones as a business tool for their co-op jobs. Cellcom also provided Pulaski High School's World Language classroom with wireless phones.

Nsight is also a long-time supporter of Junior Achievement as well as the Jefferson School Adopters Group.

Health and Wellness

Nsight supports organizations dedicated to the physical and emotional well-being of people of all ages. This includes social service programs that serve the underprivileged, senior citizens, children, minorities and disabled individuals, as well as those emphasizing illness prevention.

Our signature event, the Cellcom Green Bay Marathon, provides thousands of participants the opportunity to set personal fitness goals as well as the training and support to help achieve them. Proceeds from the event benefit three local charities each year. Some of the other organizations we support in this area include the American Cancer Society, Habitat for Humanity and the YMCA.

Arts and Environment

Nsight is committed to protecting and preserving the environment by donating to environmental education and green organizations, carrying eco-friendly devices, encouraging our customers to switch to paperless billing and taking steps internally to reduce our carbon foot print. We support recycling, conservation, proper use of land and energy efficiency.

Cellcom has offered a cell phone recycling program since 2004, allowing people to drop off their phones at any Cellcom location for proper disposal. The money that is earned from the phone recycling is then donated back into the community. In 2010, Nsight took the company's recycling program one step further to complete the green cycle that starts with consumers being environmentally conscious. A total of $25,250 in recycling dollars was given as ‘Green Gifts' to eight local organizations to fund programs that are dedicated to or support sustainability.

Nsight has donated to organizations such as the Green Bay Botanical Gardens, Wausau School Forest, Marinette High School's chemistry class, Paine Art & Garden Center, Camp Tekawitha, The Community's Garden in Sturgeon Bay and many others.

Community and Civic

Nsight constantly seeks ways to enrich the lives of our neighbors through new partnerships that benefit the community. These partnerships allow us to shed light on many of the dynamic elements that make our communities shine. We encourage all of our employees to be active in their neighborhoods and support organizations dedicated to community improvement.

Our partnership with UW-Green Bay athletics and the Wisconsin Woodchucks in Wausau gives us the opportunity to be a part of a winning tradition with strong community ties. We also support the Hodag Country Music Festival in Rhinelander, Appleton's Octoberfest, and other signature events in the communities we serve. In addition, we give to numerous rotary and optimist clubs, local VFW organizations and other dedicated community organizations who go the extra mile to make our area great!
